The Oeko-Tex® Standard 100 is a normative document, published by the International Association for Research and Testing in the field of Textile Ecology (OEKO-TEX®). The standard is applicable for textile and leather products and articles of all levels of production, including textile and non-textile accessories.

The mark “Confidence in Textiles – Tested for harmful substances according to Oeko-Tex® Standard 100“ states that the marked product fulfils the conditions specified in this standard, and that the product and its conformity test, as specified in this standard, are under the supervision of an institute belonging to the International Association for Research and Testing in the field of Textile Ecology (Oeko-Tex®).

The standard is to test for harmful substances as well as parameters for health care. Products for babies in the context of this standard are all articles, basic materials and accessories, which are provided for the production of articles for babies and children up to the age of 36 months with the exception of leather clothing. Products for infants refer to the “Product Class I”, which have to meet the highest requirements.
